As an addendum to the guitar lesson thread I started when I first got here, I found this Stichmethod lesson from a little while ago when he was on the road touring. Just a great synthesis of all the interesting parts of Cassidy condensed for a single acoustic which suits me perfectly. It's why I love Stich as a teacher.
His reverence for Jerry and Bobby and all the others is unmistakable - it shines through. Cassidy is a bit of a hidden gem for me but I am loving picking this up and just wanted to share in case anyone else is interested.
I'm getting way better at the "Jerryisms" even if it takes me twenty or thirty times to get it down to something listenable.
Amazing that Jerry could just wing this kind of brilliance on the fly and change it up at will from night to night.
As stich (or somebody) says, "the music never stops."

Dig it!
And I'm finally acclimating my band to Dark Star. They're still a little bewildered, but once they grasp the foundation chords, then engage the hyper/warp possibilities, the galaxy will open up for them.

Actually, you've inspired me. I'm going to see if I can put together an acoustic intro. I should probably macro dose something or other first but I guess I won't

Edit: just did a quick search. Stich q and a on the Dark Star Jam:)

This one's a little long so probably best to tackle in stages. Fun song though.

Quintessential Trey Anastasio lesson;
Too much I'm trying to learn to get into this right now but for anyone interested (or maybe not, lol) it popped up so I thought I'd post.
Also this guy in the second video is way too effected for my taste but he did do a pretty good Terrapin Station lesson which I'm still using to try and get competent on that suite.
So here is his interpretation of Dark Star.
Once you get past that annoying theatrics, he is pretty good:
