Gladys Knight

Anyone dig her and her pips? Been loving her nitty gritty album lately. The title track and ain’t no sun since you been gone are 2 smoking, funky, rocking tunes. Must have been a hell of a dance party back then. Def in the same line of humble pie, crowes, Rod & Faces.

Early funkadelic. Dig the psychedelic Beatles influenced harp and sitar sounds too.

Check out this documentary movie about the Funk Brothers.

They were the unknown studio musicians that backed the famous Motown artists. James Jamerson was THE MAN.
