A friend whose gone

Post by MagicMike626 » Sun Oct 17, 2021 9:49 pm

I live in an area that is not necessarily close to a major city. When I first moved in a big man named Jake said hello in a Grateful Dead shirt. Throughout my years living here he was there when my family didn’t give a fuck. We spent some time traveling to the store to smoke Malboro’s and watching westerns. In one summer there was great marijuana, so we got high as hell. He occasionally had advice and was tough as nails, but is now gone because of cancer, so I said a prayer tonight.

I hope his family is well and there is good sunshine.

Sorry for your los Mike. Jake seemed like he was pretty awesome and especially for helping you in your tough times . :bigheart :grouphug
Well I was noticing the other night, for instance, that when I'm going through pistachios, opening pistachios, that the hard to open ones, I don't bother with them anymore

Jake helped when my parents were not there. I didn’t have a car, he took me to Cohasett and I drank a beer in the passenger seat. The landscape was rugged, and the ocean air drifted in to my skin and helped me feel aware. Aware of myself and my breath, aware of the environment and the landscape.

Every morning we would get coffee, I hope he has a spectacular afterlife.

It is winter 2021, I am traveling to see music tonight under the moon. Jake has not been around in the past three months, it’s a bummer that he is gone. The other day there was a killer version of the greatest story ever told I should find it and put it here.

Jake was always good at humming a tune through the Bose radio. The culture here is different and there might be some snow for snowboarding.

Flying through snowy air hoping for the best.

Jake still is not around, it is the winter I have just got enough food for awhile. Jake was typically awake in the early morning and drove me to the bank one day. He was living near my current apartment and listened when I spoke on the bench.

Looking up to the new year, going to get some sake and see a jam band.
