...great way to end it...but damn that acoustic guitar! :doh :o  almost sounded like there was (also) a delay effect as well adding to the disorientated sound I’ve been hearing from it all night... :think

Thanks again, Sue! We somehow made 4 pages of thread for this! lol

As it stands, I’m going to Saturday night 11/9 Hampton Dead&Co, and I may just have to sign up to drive for the 11/8 Friday night (from the couch), and *maybe* the Friday MSG show as well... :think

Peace for now...

That acoustic guitar of bobby's should be left in its case, except for 'only a river'. bobby used it for sit ins too. Could not hear it!!! my thought is that in a three piece band, he gets plenty of sonic room from jay and Was. he gains a unjustified confidence in the acoustic to stand up in a larger ensemble. Plus they might also be turning the old man down in the mix. Did not care for the cape .
Think that Bobby might be turning into a geezer. hope not ... I have wolf brothers tickets for a Sept date.
love that bobby :guitarred

That was tough to watch at times. First set was well enough but when Susan came out...I actually thought Bobby got dosed. He was clearly lost. Gave me that uncomfortable feeling. Constant tinkering w/ the guitar throughout tunes. Susan waiting for Bob to sing a verse...often taking over vocals Bobby was supposed to sing. Then the leads...Bob should of never been in that position. Susan plays w/ Derek...and you’re asking Bobby to handle the lead in Sugaree etc??? I noticed the frustration on Susan’s face as he’d attempt something then put his hands up in frustration. Maybe he wasn’t dosed and just ULTRA nervous but either way...Susan should have played the lead in every song while Bob did his thing. I feel kinda bad writing a review like this cuz Bob is the absolute effing man but last night certainly was not his finest moment. I’d bet he was a bit embarrassed

Now Fri / Sat night Lockn...the best music I’ve seen in years...maybe ever. That Ridiculously Good
‘Yeah, there were drugs in our history, but that certainly wasn’t what we were about. But for some people, that is what we were about. I think those folks pretty much missed what we were about’
