I am totally slacking this year at 94.2 miles and my first camping trip last week in a year. I really don't know much about all the different kinds of mushrooms but there are so many and my favorite thing about summer hiking. There are different mushrooms at different times of the year, in all sorts of different substrates, in different states/areas, under different weather conditions ect. It's really crazy how many different kinds of mushrooms there are. Get a book on all the different kinds in a general area and its like 10 pounds plus missing a lot of stuff. This and hiking actually became a hobby long after my online name...

I just like checking out all the different kinds, it's like flowers except better
