I lurk a little bit over there
In the Blow Away thread someone posted that they felt the tune was weak and they also thought I will take you home was weak
Nothing super nasty
The post was deleted by Admin
The thread is very pro Brent and the performance is lauded by just about everyone till this post popped up
I can't believe this would ever happen over here?
:terrapinnation!
One thing you must remember.....it's only words typed on a screen and the options of others for which they are entitled to

I happen to love both of those songs
If I strongly disagree with someone's words I will speak up
Other than that I just brush it off my shoulders and move on

For the most part I think Chez and ~ me do a good job as admins
Over the past couple of years they have weeded out some of the real trash and trolls over there
But I will always stand behind Wheelman
If you've ever met him you would know that his is nothing like his online persona

I always felt Wheelman was a good guy, he was really sweet and welcoming when I first joined .org. A couple of times on the Furthur Forum he had me tearing my hair out when he went overboard messing with a gentle soul, but I think he finally realized he'd crossed a line. He should come over here, we could use a little excitement stirred up sometimes! :sunshine

There is one thing tho Sue

When they closed The Lot on .org and you were not allowed to discuss politics or religion or current events as it pertained those topics it was hard for Wheels to control himself
He was given timeouts on several occasions
I think the straw that broke the camels back was when he made a JOKE about beheading by ISIS in a 911 thread on 911
I thought the joke was kinda funny but others did not see it that way and once the admins caught wind of it
Goodbye Wheelie.....

I'm not sure he would be able to control himself here on TN nor would other take to his humor well

Wheelman is a great guy in person & nothing like his online persona

well except maybe for the real tidy whitey sneakers ;)

as for taking on trolls - sure let me at em, esp if they are denouncing a woman - whether I know her in real life or just online...

Is that possible? Just like a joke...there's always a little truth buried in each vm, text, email or online post...possibly more of the truth than not. Face to face, most choose not to interact in the same manner...nor do they want to...as the majority would rather be liked when in the company of another human.

I forgot about Wheelman.
I would love to hear the joke that got him banned from .org.
If anyone is in touch with him, let him know that California hasn’t fallen into the sea yet.

I forget the joke word for word but if you didn't know it was a joke I could see why a lot of folks got very upset
And it didn't help that it was said in a 911 thread where folks were paying their respects for the fallen heroes of that day

I forget the specific comments, but some of Wheelie's comments were taken by me to be unkind with no objective other than piss people off (they were not 911 related). That and so much fighting about authentic autographs on an album were both turn offs for me, so I have not been there for years. We've had our issues here, many more than I know, but overall I find FFF and TN to be kind loving communities. And I love how we really do meet up and stay in touch. Our love is real and will NOT fade away. NOT SAYING THAT's not true about Ratdog. Chester was actually my secret Santa on .org one year, I cherish his Jet's Steal your face shirt that he gave me......and I learned NOT to wear it in Pa when everyone is all funked up. They take their football real seriously in that neck on the woods. Even hippies like Iamsublime.

Many super kind folks on that site. Just seemed the lunatics really took over the asylum
May the four winds blow you safely home!!!
