A few Grate Dead shows 30 years ago this weekend: 3/9-11/93 at Rosemont Horizon in Chicago. My dad attended, did you?

My dad calls 3/13/93 the worst show ever. That is, of course, because the boys canceled that Saturday night show due to a massive snow storm that barreled through Ohio. The next night, 3/14/93 in Richfield, went on as scheduled. This was the band’s debut of I Fought the Law. Were you there? Did you stay at the Holiday Inn? He did!

Don’t tell me this town ain’t got no heart! The absolute ROAR of the crowd at the beginning and throughout Shakedown sends chills. The band is heating up Utica- Shakedown is sizzling. On to 3/13/81 we go:

Pre- Europe '81 is phenomenal. DSO perfomed this at the Boulder Theater on 10/15/15.patchthenation wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 2:03 amDon’t tell me this town ain’t got no heart! A couple of Grate shows celebrating their 50th as we celebrate Phil’s 83rd! Happy belated birthday to Phil and enjoy the “swell dance concerts” at Nassau, 3/15-16/73, the first shows since Pig passed:

One of the better spring 94 shows, 3/16/94 at the Rosemont. Dark Star will be played once more by the Dead and this is Cutler's first show, the start of the tour in earnest.

Fantastic sound on this copy of 3/18/67 at Winterland (best-sounding live Golden Road):
