It's been to long my friend. DSO performed the 3/15/73 show ( Phil's 33rd birthday) at the 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco last Friday, followed up by the 10/11/89 tour closer at the Mission in Denver with a "LTGTR" opener. A very energetic crowd to put it mildly. Keep up the grate"ful" work. Big thanks to Nate Bidner (owner of guitar) for allowing by Rob Eaton to use Bob Weir's "Black Knife" Casio / Modulus guitar used at the original 1989 Grateful Dead Show. Happy birthday Matt (DSO road manager)! Let's goooo!

I wish there was more of this show. Thinking it can be on the short list of shows included as part of the 50th anniversary Wake of the Flood re-release, since so little is available. Partial set 2 of Chicago 2/19/73:

50th anniversary of 2/24/73 in Iowa- a Phil-led jam > Sugar Mag (and then Bob did it tonight in Chattanooga):

Also, Bob did Down By the Riverside only one time, 2/24/98 at The Fillmore:

Speaking of Bob, Barry Sless plays steel with the Wolf Bros nowadays. But who went to Phil and Friends in 06 when he played with them? Along with Joan Osborne, who I think always did grate with Lovelight. On 2/24/06 in Upper Darby, they paired it with Roll in My Sweet Baby’s Arms, which I love listening to (and they did Rosemary!):
