Re: Quote of the Day
Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.

Circle songs and sands of time, and seasons will end in tumbled rhyme,
And little change, the wind and rain.

Re: Quote of the Day
Jerry was like a favorite uncle whose joy when we played together was like a benediction. I remember opening for the Dead at Laguna Seca in 1988. Jerry had ducked behind David Hidalgo’s amp with this huge smile on his face for most of the show, and when we asked him to play with us, he looked like a kid on Christmas morning. It meant a lot to us that he had such respect for our music.

Re: Quote of the Day
This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three hundred and sixty-four.

Re: Quote of the Day
Music is one of the closest link-ups with God that we can probably experience. I think it's a common vibrating tone of the musical notes that holds all life together.

I stuck my head out the window this morning and spring kissed me bang in the face.
