Some great instrumental grooves while working....
I've been listening to Tommy Guerrero's albums since the 90s and finally got a chance to see him live last weekend. If you know anything about old school skateboarders, you might recognize his name. He was in the Bones Brigade with Tony Hawk et al. Anywho, he flies under the radar but if he happens to be coming through your town, GO SEE HIM! Such great jammy vibes. Totally groovalicious.

Listen to the river sing sweet songs, to rock my soul.

Phil and the Wilco guys covered a tune from the album Mermaid Avenue II on Friday and that prompted me pull out the original Mermaid Avenue for some nice Sunday morning tunes. If you're not familiar with the albums, these are unpublished lyrics by Woody Guthrie put to music by Billy Bragg and Wilco, performed with some other special guests like Natalie Merchant. It's a long-time favorite!

40th anniversary of the second Veneta outing, 8/28/82. Pretty heady Althea closing jam and raunchy West LA contained herein (with a verse Jerry didn’t include for too much longer).
We will get by, we will survive!

Loved the Yes Album. The second stadium concert I ever went to - Tales tour - blew my mind.

That’s a really good sounding St. Stephen, it sounds as if the clouds moved from a rainy sky.

"Tales From Topographic Oceans" serves me the best. I saw them in the round at the defunct McNichols Sports Arena in '79, with, if my memory serves me well a "Your's is no Disgrace " opener.

Didn't attend the show, but remember the buzz surrounding it when the GD played at Folsom Field. Behold , the 50th anniversary from 9/3/72. Just listened to the first of three sets.
