Thank you, all!

It's been my gratifying honor and humbled privilege to drive our TN Bus tonight...Sure "felt" like a hell of a show, made all the more "Epic" by the Storm interruption and in spite of the 1 hour and 20 minute pre-emption still seemed a very phat and full set with that bushelful of epic song selections once things reconvened...Gonna rest up my bones for sure and get myself right for whatever's in store for the Finale tomorrow night...

Yours In Love & Service

Superb driving in inclement weather. I've been dumped on at Red Rocks countless times, but this was craaazy!

As you can see I was quite content despite the drizzle
Standing on the moon with nothing left to do
A lovely view of heaven but I'd rather be with you.

What a trip. First for everything. Got rained out last year in Camden. First. Got pelted by hail that actually hurt and soaked completely. First. Almost got hypothermia. Saw people acting poorly when women and children needed shelter. First. Went back to hotel, took an extremely hot shower and redressed and went back to a show for a great 2nd set........total first.

Wow. So we went very hopeful for no rain. Then literally just before they took the stage a rain drop hit my face. And kept going. And going. Then it’s Bobby saying take shelter. Then a more pressing announcement to TAKE SHELTER. Then lightning close. Everyone starts pressing for exits.

All shelter immediately gone but by the time we get off floor I am 15 minutes away from hypothermia being so wet (and a cold skinny guy). Seriously. Been climbing long enough to know that I can survive indoors but outside I am toast. Same with my gal. She’s soaked worse.

So.....we start a cold walk back to car. It’s pouring the whole time. With hail. We almost take shelter. Get naked when we get back to car and drive to hotel.

Take the warmer shower we can, thinking the must be over. And then check here and they just came back on.

So clothes back on, fast drive back up and illegally parking next to stadium nets us walking back in as they start Box. How appropriate.

Floor now packed, so we find spot in back and have a dance party. Crowd overall was mellow from the wetness.

But the cheer during Rider was goosebumps producing.

And then Terrapin. Wha???

I’ll admit it was all with subdued energy, but it was appropriate.

Crazy crazy night.
