For the draft - we are looking at 8/28, 8/30, 9/2, 9/3 or 9/4. Time is probably the hardest since there are people in every time zone. If you're on the east coast, the draft will probably be 8pm or later your time.

Sue can you remind me how to make a poll? I couldn't find that anywhere. Thanks!!

Looks like you can only create a poll in the first post of a thread. There's a tab for "poll creation" under the initial message box. However, I think you should be able to go in and edit your first post to add the poll. I'm good any time, I can be a night owl.

Can't wait!! :jumpclap

Holy moly! I step away for a couple of hours....

Well dang let me see if I understand where we are at. :think

I removed Jerry in Red. Sue is absolutely correct we are waaaaay too nice here and all it has done is create a frustrating environment. My new rule is going to be if I can't get a hold of you in a reasonable amount of time I'm going to remove you from the league. I post here, I PM here and I can email through Yahoo. If I can't get a hold of people through those multiple means than I don't know what to say. :hand

So we have 8 then if we add Dire Wolf (glad you want to join!!), Amanda (welcome to TN by the way!! :welcomewave ) and Ryan's friend that would make 11. HOWEVER according to my new rule I should also remove Jim M. it kinda sucks because he's been in our league since the beginning but every year it is just too hard to get a hold of him. Anyways in that case we would be at 10. I haven't removed him yet but........

Ok off my soapbox. :smokesmile
How about that for progress! :thumbsup

I'm assuming you emailed and PM'd Jim2794. If he hasn't replied after a week or so, I have to agree it's time to drop him, regretfully. Looks like he hasn't signed in here for over a year and hasn't signed into Ratdog since January. I tried to see if he was in the March Madness pool but Yahoo wouldn't let me check an old league. I just hope all is well with him! Better make sure Ryan knows we still need his work buddy, unless someone here speaks up ASAP!

I agree with the kind-but-firm approach to the draft, too. A poll would be great, but at some point I think the Commissioner has the right to just set what seems to be the best overall time/date. :sunshine

The ESPN Fantasy Football Marathon is on, fyi! :geek:

^^^ I'm more tolerant with the draft day because I really like if everyone is able to attend the draft. However the time is going to have to be less negotiable :whistle

But yeah the trying to get a hold of people is too ridiculous.

I think my friend being 10 is perfect. Love you Jim but we got get this together for DM and the league cause it does create a headache. It would also be nice for people to pay before the draft starts. Ive got Sue so far.

I voted for the 4th, but any of those dates are dandy with me!

I couldn't help myself and ended up drafting my first public league team during the ESPN celebrity draft last night. I got 2nd pick and ended up with Kamara and Conner, plus other good folks. I just love this time of year, BIG fun!!!! :jumpeveryone

Ugh. I had to re-create the poll. I forgot I can't on 9/3. Sorry about that it's always something
