Couching 6-15-2019 (Seattle)

Black Peter surprise, and riffs of China Cat in NFA, then spacey awesomeness, yeah this show is something else.

I was pretty much completely unfamiliar with them, aside from knowing who JK and Jay are, of course. HOLY SMOKES! What a show!

So many unique approaches to things. Reed modulates his bass to play lead guitar on it. Their remake of Bob Dylan's "Not Dark Yet" took me a minute to even recognize that's what they were playing. Just an interesting band all the way around. And, of course, every one of them displayed incredible amounts of talent.

Honestly, I'm a bit of an anomaly as a Head. Aside from the Dead being my absolute favorite band ever (like, it's not even close) and enjoying Phish, I'm not entirely into the rest of the jam band world. My musical tastes are sort of conflicting from conventional lines of thinking. That said, Fellowship definitely impressed and there's no question I'll be seeing them again.

^ Give Spafford a try...live if possible.

Also not necessarily jamband material but Promise of The Real is ridiculous.

Similar to the GD, the live experience is hook, line and sinker for both bands

And not to hijack a JK thread...of course anything he does is supreme. I would love to catch the Fellowship

Steely Dead, 10/26 (Boulder)
Kind Hearted Strangers w/ two other bands, 11/16 (Boulder)

Hot August Music Festival in MD has a sick lineup in my opinion 8/17. Only caveat is TTB with Grace Potter and John Fogerty at Bethel Woods 8/18 :think
