Absolutely stellar show with an absolute stellar Dark Star
Just played along to this one 3 times along with the rest of the show
Very theatrical. This one will take you away
Spin along to the gears of life and enjoy

Hope you don't mind if I add one to this great collection... Since the DeadCo show was in Eugene tonight, I was going through all sorts of Ken Kesey stuff today. This is one of my favorite all-time GD moments, wildly psychedelic, and very heady. This is the Halloween GD show in Oakland '91. It has a wonderful Dark Star>Drums>Space>Dark Star sequence. Dark Star was a fairly rare commodity at the time. The Warlocks show in Hampton '89 was where they brought it back after a 5 year drought. This was the only the 18th since then, and at some of those shows in between, they just jammed it and never sang. Anyways, the best part about this one comes at 6.5 minutes into the tune when Ken Kesey gets on stage and does one hell of an intense rap (<-Rap as in the hippie/beatnik sense of the word, not the Vanilla Ice kind) It is well worth checking out. I come back to this one every couple of years and still get chills. Kesey takes you to the other side...

Dang heck it, you ruined my page 30 of 30's!!!
Just goofin'
halfly
Thanks for getting things back on track Duck dude :D

Always happy and interested to see what stands out to others
Gave it a listen cruisin' out to my hike spot earlier today, didn't have much time to hop on here and post one myself, the Dark Star works in mysterious ways.
Kesey certainly was interesting to say the least during that jam.
I frequently wonder about what was with the years Dark Star became a rarity
Part of me wonders if Jerry had a bad trip or things in the cosmic realm got a little too deep
Maybe they just thought it was over played
The band certainly hit a lot of points of a directional change but it seems so puzzling if something didn't happen
I dunno, the thoughts are broken. Interesting contemplations.

Cheers to another Dark Star

Bit of a doozy all mashed together as one track, but Dark Star comes along quick and that transition into it is PERFECT
