I like Trey in TAB, solo acoustic, and dont mind some Phish...

Its kinda like Warren...i like Warren covers, then Mule originals but prob him singing GD songs least

Good parts of tonight tho...

Just not the same wow factor as last nite...at least for me

Others prob liked it better & thats cool

More spacier song selection...

2nd set still reminds me of a nite 1 phil & friends show at the cap where the friends are just trying to get aquainted / reaquainted....

Just tougher as u add more guitarists on the stage...
Yeah, I think a lot of Trey hate is formulaic but I do agree with the above. I.e. a few more nights/ rehearsals would help here. Obviously they keep inviting Trey because they like playing with him, and it would be interesting to see it actually develop over some time; but it seems unlikely that will happen. I thought the highs were pretty cool in the half of the set I heard, but definitely some rough edges.

Well, that was fun, even if it took some time to get Trey broken in. Hard to work with youngsters!

It's been another lovely evening with you folks! Have a good rest of the weekend, and see you in Boston for more shows! :sunshine

Tonights 1st set was tighter

But last nights 2nd set was just better

But thats just like my opinion man
Agreed. I love trey but him and Bobby are like oil and vinegar.
In '06 in Camden I saw Trey sit in for an entire 2nd set with Phil & Friends and it was not of this world. I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that they weren't asking Trey to try to fill Jerry's role. They just let him swing for the fences. And really, he didn't sound anything like he does tonight. I'm still loving this -- I'm a massive Trey fan -- but I much prefer him with either Phish or TAB.

Those are my thoughts too. Trey is amazing with Phish, I haven't caught TAB. I think he struggles with a second guitar. Him and bobby seem to be at odds and he keeps trying to play rhythm.

I liked the 2nd last night better but I just want to hear phil and bob more and tonight that seemed lost in the 2nd.

Good show, but didn't feel as special in the second set tonight. It had some great moments though. Excited to see what Boston holds for us!

I was thinking about this more. I have seen both Bob/Phil and Trey at least 150 times each. My Phish roots are almost as deep as my dead roots (first phish 1990, first GD 1989). I don't really compare them but I guess I don't really like them mixed together either. When Trey plays with Bob/Phil I just want him to play like he does in his bands and when Bob/Phil are playing I want it to have that GD sound, not be phishy. What I am saying is that my aversion to this and FTW could just be based on my history and how it was encoded in my DNA over a lot of shows.
