That third night at the Gorge looks pretty impressive.

I saw them once in 92 in Virginia, Trey was in a cast and crutches. Coming to MPP, never miss a Sunday show right? Can't get excited but as DT says you never know what will happen....

Last time I saw 'em was Lockn' 16, was much less impressed with them from the prior time I saw them in either '11 or '12 at Riverbend. Probably was just the environment I was in though. Would give them another chance though. People in my neck of woods seemed real hyped about that tour they did of smaller sheds last summer. Fun band, they just don't seem to take me to that next level. Many, many, many worse bands out there!

Did btb shows at Harvey's followed by a late night after party with KDTU at Montbleu . Ever since FTW we have been listening to Gone Phishin' on SiriusXM. Can't' explain how or why I missed out all those years, maybe it was meant to be that one door opened as another one closed, but WOW!!!

Harvey's was packed and came alive after sunset with electricity and that rare on the edge of something vibe (remember those times?) What a beautiful buzz! They opened the tour with Free, which blew my mind since that was stuck in my head driving up to Tahoe from TXR after the Sunday summer bash with Phil, Stu, Molo, Krasno, Holly, & KDTU.

Word is they will be going on hiatus next year (that dreaded H word again).

Free stream tomorrow night from Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. 7:30 PDT/10:30 EDT. My advice is to give these guys a real chance. I caught a few shows in the early 90s because I'd heard good things in the lots at Dead shows. Then one night, in '93 at the Mann, I saw them cover Free Bird totally acapella, including the jam. And it was a hot jam. I walked out of there thinking, How did they pull that off? From that point on I took them a lot more seriously -- totally on their own terms.

Have seen em a bunch over the years...always enjoy altho never really get that post afterglow feel. Jerry’s B Day at MSG last year was prob my fav. Part of that is because they didn’t play any of the dozen or so songs that make me have flashbacks to my daughters kindergarten days. There’s an element of cheese that I can’t get past. Trey solo or with TAB...oh yea all day long. Love it. Now Gordo’s solo stuff...couldn’t pay me to listen to those lyrics. Maybe he’s the X factor for me. Not sure what it is but anything they do minus Gordo I seem to really love. I also recognize he’s a hell of a musician. Let’s just say I’m happy plan B happened for Deadco and not plan A :guitarred
I would go see phish tho if it was convenient
