Camping at Alpine Valley?

Post by DrippingColors » Mon May 07, 2018 11:18 am

So in the old days they let everyone just camp in the parking lot, but I have no idea if they still do this. Anyone know?

I have a camping spot reserved in the Kettle Moraine State Forest Souther Unit. About a 25 minute drive from the venue. Getting so excited for this!! What are the rest of the TNers attending doing to catch some z's?

I called Alpine when the tour was announced and they said no camping on site this year. I also started calling campgrounds in the area and a lot of the private campgrounds were already full by noon the day of the announcement.

The one I called the day of the announcement said it wasn't doing camping that weekend because they're having an antique show. I told her she might want to cancel that!! :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Perhaps “antique “ was referring to Bob Bill and Mick

The state parks seem to have a two day minimum stay. I was going to take off after Saturday's show. I found a spot around half an hour away called Cycle K campground for $25. I'll bet they don't clear the lot, but I've got a space just in case.

I have my site booked for Friday and Saturday night. You driving home right after the Saturday show? Let me know if you need a place to crash for a bit.

Hate to say but they will 100 percent clear the lot after the show. Alpine has not allowed on sight camping for a very long time. I always stay at Country View campground which works pretty good.
