These shows were really good. I especially loved the third night - Jay did an incredible drum solo in Summer Jam and Ancient Astronauts was hilarious. The last show was also really good but was super laid back. There were some amazing highlights - an incredible jam on The Business, one of the best Dear Prudences I've ever heard, Ancient Astronauts, really good jams on Summer jam, etc. Bob recorded all the nights and FB streamed them. The FB recordings are up if you are on FB, his audience and SBD recordings will show up art some point. In addition, Fred was there Saturday (audience) and Alex was there the last night (SBD + microphones on stage) and the DC Review people were there the last night (video + SBD)

In the picture, Veronica (a west coast member of the Fans of John Kadlecik as well as FOJC) is on the left and Maria, Stu's wife is on the right...

Only Jay can come up with a song called Ancient Astronauts. :smileys-passing-joint
Whats the part about N Armstrong?
Jay is an amazing focused drummer who is pretty funny

New JK studio jams:

Happy Thursday!! New upload alert!

Well, I took last Thursday off for my birthday, and had a beautiful day, thank you for all the kind wishes on social media! I am super-psyched to share that the two days leading up to my birthday were spent at Tonal Park recording studios with Jay Lane, Robin Sylvester, & Benjie Porecki. We recorded a bunch of basic tracks for songs that should hopefully be finished up and released in the fall, but we also tracked several live improvisations that we really enjoyed mixing down right away. The first one is up now on my YouTube channel for your listening enjoyment!

[Click here to listen to Studio Jam #2 on YouTube]

Recorded, engineered, & mixed by Charlie Pilzer, this improv jam was recorded live, no overdubs, and only minimal editing. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel while you are there, and watch next week for an upload of Studio Jam #3!
