Took a listen to 1/24/71 today. Lots of greatest hits. You should take this out if you want to turn on a friend to primal GD. Very great Pig showcase. Particularly of note is the Lovelight > NFA > GDTRFB > Lovelight (will surprise you when it comes back) > Good Lovin section, part of which you can listen to here: http://www.dead.net/features/tapers-sec ... ry-06-2013

The only source on archive is a grate one: https://archive.org/details/gd71-01-24. ... efail.shnf

For today, 1/25/93 is a grate latter-day Dead show. While you can find the entire 1/24/93 show on Youtube, there are a few for the 25th to see as well-

catching up...

On 1/26/13 at the Brooklyn Bowl, Joe Russo's Almost Dead premiered!!! They wouldn't begin regularly appearing till over a year later. This show is HOT! Especially the Shakedown through China Rider, post-Eyes jam, and everything from Stephen to the end of set 2. GRATE first show!

JGB 1/27/76 at Keystone Berkeley is a hot Jerry show. The recording is pristine, and I LOVE the opening Catfish John and Who Was John. Donna's grate in this show! Jerry, Kahn, Tutt, and the Godchaux's.

Up next for today, more JGB! 1/28/89 at the Orpheum. I haven't listened to this in a while, but it's here on Youtube...I am sure it's a grate show, 89 JGB usually was! Look out right before the end for a ditty Jerry didn't do too often called "I Hope It Won't Be This Way Always." Kinda how I'm feeling about this political climate.....
